Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and incidents accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with RNs, LPNs, and families regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA License issued by the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
