Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans under supervision.
- Communication: Serve as a key liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team, documenting changes in patient condition promptly.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout their stay.
- Flexible Scheduling: Adapt to various shift patterns, including day, evening, night, and weekend rotations to meet patient needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Current, unencumbered Ohio State CNA license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and mobile documentation apps.
