Job Summary
The CNA will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and provide emotional support to ensure a high quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals, assist with feeding if necessary, and ensure proper hydration.
- Communicate any changes in patient behavior or physical condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care, such as making beds and cleaning equipment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered State CNA License required.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience when working with the elderly or disabled.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs) with proper body mechanics.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
