Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, ensuring they feel valued and heard.
- Assist with mobility issues, including wheelchair transfers and ambulation, ensuring patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment in accordance with state health regulations.
- Document patient care plans, intake data, and progress notes in the electronic medical record system.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Florida (required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living facilities is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
