Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
  • Document patient care activities, changes in condition, and responses to treatment in electronic health records.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary health care team.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment in accordance with health care standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
