Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring, using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required, valid in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong compassion and empathy for the elderly and sick.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation.
