Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations in electronic health records.
- Foster a compassionate and therapeutic environment by communicating effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients with mobility.
