Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, initiating emergency interventions when necessary.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventative care strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (New Graduates welcome to apply).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proficiency in computer systems and Electronic Health Records.
