Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered California CNA license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable transportation for on-site shifts (if applicable).
