Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist the nursing staff with medical procedures, wound care, and patient mobility to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital hygiene and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status, concerns, and care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses within scope of practice.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting patients.
- Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus but not mandatory.
