Responsibilities
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Support patients with medication reminders and ensure compliance with prescribed treatments under supervision.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status updates to the nursing staff and families.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all residents.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Current CNA Certification: Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in California.
- CPR/BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required.
- High School Diploma: Minimum education requirement of a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
