Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed by physicians.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests (urinalysis, blood work).
- Manage patient records accurately and confidentially within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency and experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
