Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any deviations to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with patient mobility, including transferring and positioning patients safely and comfortably.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Oregon State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (CNA I or CNA II).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a commitment to patient dignity.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
