Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures and the maintenance of medical records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the charge nurse immediately.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification/license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or ACLS certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
- Compassionate, patient-oriented, and detail-oriented demeanor.
