Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical logs in accordance with facility protocols.
- Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Communication: Communicate patient changes and concerns to the nursing staff and charge nurse promptly.
- Hygiene: Ensure the patient's environment remains clean, safe, and orderly.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
- License: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting patients, as needed.
