Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide basic bedside care to patients in hospital, home, or nursing care facilities.
- Document patient care services, including changes in patient condition, and behaviors.
- Communicate with physicians and nursing staff to observe, report, and record symptoms and changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medication as prescribed by physicians and report any adverse reactions.
- Prepare and maintain patient rooms, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
