Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely in and out of bed, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team to report changes in patient condition.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. Candidates must be willing to complete state-mandated CNA training and obtain certification.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
