Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration rates, and blood pressure.
  • Assist nurses and physicians with medical procedures, examinations, and treatments.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Administer medication as directed by the registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
  • Document patient progress, dietary intake, and changes in condition accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Massachusetts.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
