Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and compassion for the elderly or sick.
