Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure their comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers, preventing falls and injuries.
- Medication Administration: Support the nursing staff by administering prescribed medications and treatments as directed.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition, behavior, or symptoms to registered nurses and physicians immediately.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current North Carolina CNA license (NAR) required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and a genuine desire to help patients and their families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
