Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of Colorado.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
