Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to and from wheelchairs or beds.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and treatments, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the Registered Nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation in patient rooms to maintain a clean environment.
- Support patients and families with emotional and psychological needs, acting as a liaison between them and the medical staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Florida.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
