Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care as directed by nursing staff, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring, and positioning.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification must be current.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
