Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a sterile environment following strict infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images accurately.
  • Manage patient records, update charts, and ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations.
  • Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
  • Educate patients on dental products and treatment plans to improve their understanding of their care.
  • Order dental supplies and manage inventory levels for the clinical team.

Qualifications

  • Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification or RDA license required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting preferred.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be up to date.
  • Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
