Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document all care activities.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
