Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, walking, and transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals and feed patients as necessary or directed.
- Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and family members to update them on patient conditions.
- Document patient care services, reactions, and medications administered.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
