Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans for the night shift population.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and progress, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and colleagues during overnight hours.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support as required.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana (or willing to relocate/license).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred for specialized units.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously during night shifts.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
