Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking with a walker or cane.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas at all times.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff under supervision.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNA certification preferred, but not required for immediate consideration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 lbs) with proper technique.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but we can assist with obtaining it.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help those in need.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
