Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist the nursing staff with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, following established safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred but not required for the right candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients as necessary.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
