Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations
- Assist with mobility transfers and ambulation using proper techniques
- Support licensed nurses with medical procedures and documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and care needs
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care or long-term experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate demeanor with commitment to patient dignity
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
