Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist in the collection of specimens and specimens for lab analysis as directed by nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
  • Communicate patient conditions and changes to the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse promptly.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families during their stay.
  • Follow all hospital safety protocols and infection control procedures strictly.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of Nevada.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • High school diploma or GED required; nursing assistant diploma preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
