Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist in the collection of specimens and specimens for lab analysis as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate patient conditions and changes to the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse promptly.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families during their stay.
- Follow all hospital safety protocols and infection control procedures strictly.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing with the State of Nevada.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED required; nursing assistant diploma preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
