Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
  • Monitor vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and accurately record patient symptoms and changes in condition.
  • Assist with patient mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by the Registered Nurse, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding care plans.
  • Document daily care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR) promptly.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Georgia CNA License required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
