Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Transport patients safely within the facility for activities and medical appointments
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Texas CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year experience in geriatric or long-term care
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate demeanor with genuine interest in elderly care
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with potential holiday rotation
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation
