Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.
