Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring from beds to wheelchairs and walking assistance.
- Document patient care activities and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and the nursing team to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests, maintaining a high standard of patient safety and comfort.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid Texas State License).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required for home health positions).
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and computer systems.
