Key Responsibilities
Your primary role will be to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking, vitals, and physicals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including phlebotomy and EKGs, with accuracy and care.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain a clean and organized exam room environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment when necessary.
