Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report significant changes to the RN immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary needs, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide a holistic approach to patient recovery.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA license in the state of Ohio.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered attitude.
- Ability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely.
- Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
