Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Administer medication and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and updates in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Texas CNA License.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 250 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a high degree of integrity.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as required.
