Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including symptoms, changes, and reactions to treatment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, post-discharge care, and health maintenance.
- Document patient information accurately and completely in medical records.
- Respond to medical emergencies with speed and efficiency, following hospital protocols.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
