Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare meals and assist patients with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
