Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility transfers and ensure patient safety at all times
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support patients with emotional needs and companionship
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments
Qualifications
- Active Illinois CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience in long-term care or hospital setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Valid Illinois driver's license (if transporting patients)
- Pass background check and drug screening
