Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers safely.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing required by the State of Nebraska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
