Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and extractions
- Perform dental radiography and ensure diagnostic image quality
- Maintain sterile environments and sterilize dental instruments per OSHA standards
- Manage patient records and update digital charts accurately
- Take dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Provide chairside support including instrument transfer and suction control
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
- Inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- Expertise in infection control protocols and sterilization
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and patient communication abilities
