Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking as needed.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the RN or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Document daily care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA Certification in North Carolina.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented demeanor.
