Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
- Monitor patients for changes in physical or mental condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients.
- Accurately document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- CPR certification is required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
