Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses and physicians.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and responses to treatment accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting patients, for extended periods.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
