Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Support nurses and physicians with patient mobility, positioning, and transferring to ensure patient safety.
- Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients, including changing linens and assisting with meal times.
- Communication: Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and logs as required by hospital policy.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Texas State CNA Certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks related to patient care.
