Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and visitors.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
