Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Document patient care plans, symptoms, and progress in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and families regarding patient conditions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and visitors.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull patients up to 50 lbs.
