Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by escorting them to the exam room and recording their vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood draws, following strict protocols.
- Manage medical records and patient charts, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Instruct patients on medication usage, diet, and lifestyle changes as directed by healthcare providers.
- Sanitize medical equipment and instruments to maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
