Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify insurance, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vitals & Admin: Measure and record vital signs, update medical records, and process lab results.
- Assist Providers: Serve as a clinical scribe and assist physicians during patient visits and minor procedures.
- Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications and injections following strict protocols.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized examination room environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or RMA (AMT) or equivalent degree.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer navigation.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
